Dr. G. Ryan Dominguez is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with nearly two decades of experience caring for patients in La Jolla and the greater San Diego area. He is dedicated to preventive medicine and improving long-term quality of life through personalized, whole-person care. His areas of expertise include wellness exams, sleep disorder treatment, bioidentical hormone therapy, medically supervised weight loss, chronic condition management, and patient education.

Dr. Dominguez chose family medicine because of his passion for working with people from all walks of life and his deep interest in treating a wide range of medical conditions. Most importantly, he values the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with his patients. He believes exceptional care begins with trust and strives to create a compassionate, supportive environment where patients feel heard, informed, and empowered. His approach focuses on the health of the mind, body, and spirit, supported by the most current evidence-based treatments and technologies.

Recognized by San Diego Magazine as one of the area’s “Top Doctors” for seven consecutive years, Dr. Dominguez is honored for his approachable demeanor and attentive bedside manner. In addition to his private practice, he also serves as Medical Supervisor for several urgent care centers throughout San Diego and Temecula.

A native of Claremont, California, Dr. Dominguez earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Spanish Literature from the University of California, San Diego. He completed his medical degree with a merit scholarship from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, followed by Family Medicine residency training at both Sharp Grossmont Family Medicine Residency Program and Long Beach Memorial’s Family Medicine Residency Program.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the California Academy of Family Physicians, and the San Diego County Medical Society.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Dominguez enjoys outdoor activities—especially trail running. He and his running group have completed challenging adventures, including a Grand Canyon rim-to-rim run and a 50K race in Big Bear.
He has been married for over 20 years and loves spending time with his wife and their daughter.
